CCIAP promotes Arab days: "Arab-Islamic Memories, Dialogue between Civilizations"
The Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry is going to hold, on the 17th and 18th of May, the Arab Days: “Arab-Islamic Memories, Dialogue between Civilizations”. The initiative, which aims to promote debate and knowledge sharing around the Arab-Islamic legacy in the Portuguese space, has the High Sponsorship and the Presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic.
Lisbon, 11 May 2017 - The Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAP) is preparing to organize the 3rd Edition of the Arab Days, entitled “Arab-Islamic Memories, Dialogue between Civilizations”.
The initiative, which aims to promote debate and knowledge sharing around the Arab-Islamic legacy in the Portuguese space, will take place on the 17th and 18th of May, in Lisbon and in Sintra, with high sponsorship and presence of the President of the Republic and is organized in close collaboration with the Union of Arab Chambers, the League of Arab States and the Arab Embassies accredited in Portugal.
Day May 17, 2017, will be reserved for a Colloquium in the Auditorium of the National Archives of Torre do Tombo, in Lisbon, with the participation of High Individualities from the political, cultural and academic life of Portugal, the Arab Countries and Spain, where they will be focused, in the various Sessions, topics directly related to the Arab-Islamic Historical, Cultural and Civilizational Legacy.
They are scheduled for the second day, May 18, 2017, guided visits to Lisbon and Sintra, in which it is intended to highlight some of the legacies and urban traces and other testimonies of the Arab-Islamic presence in Portugal.
This event is open to all those who wish to broaden their knowledge on the topics to be addressed, being addressed to Civil Society in general, Portuguese, Arabic and Spanish, with emphasis on: Public and Private Institutions for Knowledge and Culture; Universities, Colleges, Institutes and other Educational Institutions; Academic and Scientific Communities; Municipal Entities; Arab Countries' Federations and Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Services; Portuguese and Arab Business and Sector Organizations and Associations; Arab and Portuguese Development and Investment Authorities; Students and the general public; Entities and Companies wishing to promote and expand knowledge.
Founded in 1977, the Arab-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-profit association / public utility. Its main objective is the development of economic, commercial, industrial and cultural relations between Portugal and the 22 countries of the League of Arab States, on a basis of mutual interest, contributing considerably to the strengthening of cooperation relations between Portugal and the Arab World.
