{"id":13195,"date":"2020-01-10T09:39:17","date_gmt":"2020-01-10T09:39:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.say-u.com\/?p=13195"},"modified":"2023-05-11T13:19:50","modified_gmt":"2023-05-11T12:19:50","slug":"look-back-at-the-best-rp-stocks-of-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/say-u.pt\/en\/retrospetiva-as-melhores-acoes-de-rp-de-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Retrospective: the best PR actions of 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13198\" src=\"https:\/\/say-u.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Site-SUCESSSTEPS.png\" alt=\"PR actions\" width=\"830\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Over the past year there have been many campaigns for <a href=\"https:\/\/say-u.pt\/en\/services\/public-relations-2\/\">Public Relations<\/a> (RP) which, in different ways, caught our attention.<\/p>\n<p>In today's article, we'll look back at two PR actions carried out in 2019 that had a big impact on the public:<\/p>\n<p>- <strong>Nike:<\/strong> The display of a mannequin <em>plus-size<\/em> by the sportswear brand in its flagship store in London has caused some controversy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-13196 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/say-u.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/nik.jpg\" alt=\"nike\" width=\"807\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: right;\">(<strong><em>source:<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/observador.pt\/2019\/06\/12\/nike-expoe-manequins-plus-size-em-londres-e-nem-todas-as-reacoes-foram-boas\/\">Observer<\/a>)<\/h5>\n<p>There were those who applauded Nike's bet, saying that it was a way of supporting, including and encouraging people of all \u201csizes\u201d to practice sport, a way of showing that everyone could do sport and that the <em>pluz size<\/em> can also be athletes.<\/p>\n<p>But there were also those who criticized it, arguing that it encouraged obesity or interpreted it as a criticism of obese people.<\/p>\n<p>Nike justified this action as a way of <em>\u201ccelebrating diversity and inclusion in sport\u201d<\/em>. Sarah Hannah, vice president of Nike's women's line in the European, African and Middle Eastern market, also said that <em>\u201cWith the fantastic momentum we are experiencing in women's sport, the redesign of the space is just another demonstration of Nike's commitment to inspiring and serving women athletes\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>- Gillette:<\/strong> With this campaign against \u201ctoxic masculinity\u201d, which challenged stereotypes of what it means to be a man, Gillette wanted to show diversity and inclusion by showing a father teaching his transsexual son how to shave, using the hashtag <strong>\u201c#MyBestSelf\u201d<\/strong>, my best self.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Gillette - &quot;First Shave, the Story of Samson&quot;\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7kLypuCI2MU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The campaign went viral and received thousands of reactions and shares on the <a href=\"https:\/\/say-u.pt\/en\/services\/digital\/rp-2-0\/\">social networks<\/a>. The protagonist, Samson Bonkeabantu Brown, also showed his gratitude to Gillette on social media, writing <em>\u201cThank you so much to Gillette for allowing me to share such an important moment in a man's life with my dad.
