Conference discusses challenges and proposed solutions in the field of education. The \u201cAprender @PT\u201d initiative is based on a focus on learning as a starting point and placing human capital at the center of a vision for the 21st century<\/h3>\n

Lisbon, May 3 \u2013<\/strong> The \u201cPortugal Agora\u201d platform is organizing the \u201cAprender@PT \u2013 From Innovation to Learning\u201d Conference on Tuesday, May 7. Starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Lux Lisboa Park Hotel, participants will discuss the challenges facing education and skills development in Portugal, as well as proposed solutions. Admission is free with prior registration.<\/p>\n

At this event, which marks the conclusion of the first phase of the Aprender@PT project, the goal is to develop solutions for moving from strategy to action on this journey, which is based on a focus on learning as a starting point, rather than on the \u201ceducation system,\u201d which should be a consequence.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to identify measures that can accelerate this transformation in Portugal and place human capital at the center of a vision for the 21st century, as part of an agenda to be implemented in Portugal by the public, private, and social sectors, with a focus on cross-sectoral cooperation.<\/p>\n

The \u201cPortugal Agora\u201d platform, which aims to exert influence and make an impact and is based on the premise of thinking about the country in the medium and long term, gathered contributions from national and international experts as part of the \u201cAprender@PT\u201d initiative to develop proposals and build this agenda for the future. Some of these contributions will be discussed at this conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event aims to conduct a forward-looking analysis and present proposals for a new paradigm of learning.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>, says Carlos Sez\u00f5es, president of the \u201cPortugal Agora\u201d platform.<\/p>\n

Specifically, he adds, \u201c\u201dhow to equip children, youth, and adults with the skills\u2014both personal and social\u2014that will enable them, on the one hand, to integrate into society in a healthy way and contribute to its development, and, on the other hand, to acquire the competencies needed to face the challenges of the 21st-century workplace\"<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

About Portugal Agora<\/a>: <\/strong>It is a project that aims to promote a vision for our country based on three dimensions (Attractiveness, Knowledge, Entrepreneurship), with the goal of facilitating the transition from strategy to action\u2014generating concrete proposals for public policies or civil society initiatives.
