AGAP2IT promotes university talent at Pitch Bootcamp

agap2IT is one of Spark Agency's partners for the Pitch Bootcamp initiative, a program that brings companies, universities and young talent together. The consultancy brings experience and know-how to the initiative, aimed at training and boosting skills and knowledge.

 

Lisbon, February 16thLogo_agap2IT_RVBverter 2018 - agap2IT will be part of the events Pitch Bootcamp promoted by Spark Agency, which will take place in various colleges from the north to the south of the country throughout the first semester of 2018. The career acceleration platform brings leading companies into the university context, promotes the acquisition of knowledge and the development of skills and contact with the business world.

For Filipe Esteves, Managing Director of agap2IT, "Talent development is central to agap2IT's activity. In addition to identifying professionals, we have been introducing training offers, such as the agap2IT Academy, with the aim of accelerating the experience and knowledge of young IT graduates. In this way, we have been able to boost the identification and recruitment of young professionals and equip them with the skills to work on consultancy projects. By joining the initiative Pitch Bootcamp we take this culture of innovation and entrepreneurship outside the consultancy as well, in a proactive investment whose purpose is to develop Talent in a university environment".

As a "Corporate Friend" of the initiative, agap2IT will integrate moments of contact and information sharing with the students and develop processes of mentoringThese events will be attended by Managers, IT Recruiters, the Director of the R&D Unit and the consultant's Academy. This intervention is aimed at around 160 students per event, for a total of 1,300 students throughout this semester of the initiative.

The presence of Pitch Bootcamp at Nova SBE & IMS (February 24, in an exclusive edition for students from these institutions), FCT Nova (March 10), Instituto Superior Técnico (April 7, also in an exclusive edition for students from the faculty), FEUP (April 21) and ISCTE (May 5).

Since 2013 there have been 106 editions of the initiative, which have brought together more than 10,000 young people and more than 4,000 professionals from more than 1,500 companies. They have created 3,500 jobs to date and fostered an unprecedented sharing of knowledge involving leading companies in the market, such as Accenture, Affinnity, Altitude, Glintt, KPMG, Leroy Merlin, Microsoft and Montepio.
