K.Tech Award finalists
Inu Health, Kendir Studios and JobCoach are the three finalist projects for the K.Tech AwardBanco Montepio Acredita Portugal, the technological branch of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal entrepreneurship competition. The 11th edition of the initiative received a total of 10,620 ideas from different areas of activity, including the K.Tech Award, which is aimed at projects related to new information technologies and the implementation of these technologies in traditional business areas.
Inu Health has created an app that integrates a personalized symptom tracker, a scientifically proven iCBT program, and promotes nutrition education with the aim of helping women manage menstrual pain and symptoms. Kendir Studios develops immersive educational games with the aim of responding to the need to revolutionize online learning. JobCoach presents an online platform that provides methods and tools such as templates, articles and courses to help integrate people into the job market.
The winning project will receive support from KCS IT in entering the market, through the award of a grant of hours to implement best practices at PMI level.
In a year marked by new challenges, Tiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS IT, justifies this partnership by the importance of looking for new solutions: "The moment demands that we be able to adapt to a new reality, something that will only be possible through the implementation of new ideas and responses to the demands of the market and the public. In this context, this partnership with Acredita Portugal makes even more sense to us."
The head of the consultancy sees initiatives like this as a platform for "enabling people to bring out the best in themselves and be agents of change, helping us to move from a negative context to a dynamic one, which will certainly help the economy to emerge from the current crisis".
This is Portugal's largest entrepreneurship competition and the second largest in the world - it has supported more than 100,000 projects in its more than 10 years of activity - and its aims are to identify, develop, reward and encourage the launch of innovative ideas.
The winners of the 11th edition of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal Competition will be announced at an Awards Gala scheduled for October 9, 2021.
