i-Memorial
A digital platform for sharing memories of loved ones aims to perpetuate the memories of family and friends, in addition to traditional tributes. i-Memorial is on the market to keep family memories alive and be a link between different generations.
i-Memorial is a digital platform for creating posthumous memorials, which can be used by anyone who wants to pay tribute to family and friends and share memories, keeping the family memory alive, passing on inherited knowledge to their descendants and remembering their ancestors.
A QR Code installed on a grave or headstone becomes the access point to information stored virtually, which can be managed by the service's customers.
Faced with the usual ways of paying tribute to the departed, namely by laying flowers and candles in person at cemeteries, i-Memorial helps perpetuate gestures of homage by bridging the distance and lack of availability, and the consequent abandonment of these traditions, with an innovative, low-cost and easy-to-use service.
"We want to keep family memories alive and create a link between generations through a repository of information, images and video, paying tribute to ancestors and people who were important in each person's life." explains Pedro Andrade, head of the project. "This is a way of keeping family history alive, sharing it with others and making visible a gesture of homage that goes beyond the traditional formats we are used to" he adds.
i-Memorial was developed with the dissemination of photographs and videos "lost" in albums and drawers in mind and aims to be a response to those who know, and want to make known, the stories and moments lived with their loved ones.
Like so many other services that have migrated from physical to virtual space, i-Memorial seeks, with respect for its clients and honorees, to fill a gap in family tributes through innovation.
Further information and purchase of the service is available at website of the platform.
