Carla Matos launches a jewelry collection inspired by the search for style in a context of interaction without proximity. The pieces, which follow the upcycling privileged by the brand, aim to highlight the personality at a time when the image we transmit is even more important.
Carla Matos presents a jewelry collection designed to add a touch of sophistication to everyday life and positively reinforce image as an extension of personality, while promoting contact with a less conventional aesthetic and encouraging women to dare to be different. Style still counts, even at a time when face-to-face contact has diminished and our interactions have become more virtual.
The Zoom Collection is made up of 10 necklaces, created using industrial materials - rubber, aluminum and acrylic - and is available at online shop of the brand in Instagram e Facebook.
Carla Matos points to the creation of the Zoom Collection by Carla_M as a response to the recent context: "I looked at the reality of the days spent in front of the screen in work meetings, online classes and informal conversations. I realized that, despite being confined, we should continue to take care of ourselves and always show the best version of ourselves. That's how I created a collection of pieces that stand out for the originality of their design and use of unexpected materials, creating a smooth connection with an aesthetic that makes the wearer stand out."

As a result of the current environmental circumstances, the existence of recurring awareness campaigns and a natural evolution towards a more sustainable world, the brand has gained increasing demand and notoriety, both nationally and internationally. This visibility is also reflected in various awards and recognitions, including "The Next Big Idea", "Sheriff de mode" Bijorhrca Paris, Design Destination Portugal MoMA NY, Talents Frankfurt, Portuguese Jewellery and Watchmaking Association (AORP), among others.
The brand has made a name for itself internationally, having been featured in several museums and collections: MoMA New York and MoMA Tokyo, La Pedrera Barcelona, Queensland Museum Australia, MoMA Chicago, MAK Austria, Punta de la Dogana Venice and Triennale di Milano. In 2009 Carla Matos decided to change her professional career and embrace jewelry as a way of expressing her creativity and passion for design. Her work stems from a constant search for new aesthetic and functional values in unexpected materials: rubber, plastic, acrylic, steel, carbon fiber and other industrial components. Inspiration comes from observing materials not for what they are, but for the potential they possess.
