Mazars merger with JMP&A
With the aim of global development, expanding its offer and strengthening its growth, Mazars has completed the merger by absorption of JMP&A
Lisbon, September 16th, 2019 - A Mazarsas part of its development strategy, has completed the merger by absorption of João Monarca Pires & Associados, SROC, Lda (JMP&A).
The integration of the auditor, which immediately translates into an increase of thirteen people in the Lisbon office, is in line with the Mazars group's strategic plan.
Mazars' goal, in global terms, is to be present in 100 countries and to reach 2.2 billion euros in global turnover by 2020, after having presented a figure of over 1.6 billion euros in 2018 and having recorded growth of 50% in the previous five years. Since the creation of Mazars' international project in 1995, the strategy followed by the consultancy has resulted in sustained growth and the broadening of its offer, in terms of geographical coverage and the nature of its services
As Mazars' Managing Partner in Portugal explains, "this is a strategic operation that meets the objectives set for Mazars in terms of broadening the range of services available to our clients and strengthening the growth of the team and turnover".
Luís Gaspar reveals that they are "very enthusiastic about this integration process"and adds that "we have taken another step towards establishing differentiating solutions, based on a combination of specialized knowledge and top talent".
The merger and integration operation undertaken by Mazars takes place in a context of reinvention for auditing, associated on the one hand with the effects of the digital revolution, but also with new client expectations and regulatory changes in the sector.
In Portugal, Mazars has annual growth targets in the double digits for the next two years.
The consultant does not rule out the possibility of new integrations, within the same sector or in others complementary to the existing offer.
