The platform provides a process, at the end of which you receive a quality seal, which offers the methods, tools and coaching necessary to integrate students into the job market.
Joana Eitner, Co-Founder of JobCoach, points out the importance of participating in the competition for "to keep us motivated not to give up on the project and to realize that all businesses go through difficulties and obstacles that require work, dedication and persistence to overcome. On the other hand, it was very important for networking and creating a network of entrepreneurs willing to help us in their respective areas. Finally, it taught us how to sell and talk about our business, adapting the pitch to the audience in question."
The initiative also served to identify new needs, such as "increasing the team or subcontracting certain services such as Copywriting and Development and starting to make the company official, since several future steps depended on it"he concludes.
The KCS IT team is an active part of this support and mentoring process, accompanying the development and evaluation of the projects during the various phases of the competition. For JobCoach, the consultancy now offers access to a pool of hours for the implementation of best practices, an intervention aimed at its entry into the market.
A partnership to boost the entrepreneurial spirit
The partnership with Believe in Portugal is seen by KCS IT as an opportunity, at a time when the world is experiencing a completely unexpected reality, to continue innovating, believing in and supporting the entrepreneurial spirit, giving rise to a dynamic moment of economic recovery.
The appetite and ability to innovate and present original solutions to the needs identified in the market are highlighted by the consultancy's team, which has seen an evolution in the quality and sophistication of the ideas presented over the five years it has been taking part in the initiative.
While previously most of the projects were simply looking for a transition from a physical to a digital format, nowadays the initial selection is more careful and the ideas presented are more innovative and stand out for the difference they can really make in the market. What's more, all the participants show greater ability and preparation for the presentation and evaluation stages, responding better to the requests and questions they face during the competition.
As Tiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS IT, points out, "Throughout this partnership we have been constantly surprised and impressed by the way the contestants believe in and keep faith with the projects they present. It's very motivating to see how committed they are to their ideas and how they defend what they do, as well as their enormous capacity to overcome obstacles and difficulties that may arise. All the projects that appear in this competition are strong examples of the ability to do things differently, to find answers to gaps in the market and in society and to respond to the general needs of today's world - in whatever area."
A strategic commitment to innovation
Entrepreneurship and innovation are part of KCS IT's global strategy and are reflected in the business, projects and partnerships developed by the consultancy, with a view to solving needs at corporate level and in society in general and contributing to a better and more sustainable world.
KCS IT brings this history to the contest: "We have the experience and know-how to support both startups and companies already established on the market. Through a mentoring process, but also through support in project management and even in the development of applications and software, we are able to help ideas come to fruition and projects grow. We carry out an analysis that is both dedicated and demanding, in order to understand which applications really have a future."explains Tiago Farinha.
This vision of supporting the development of companies includes the launch, this year, of a new Consulting Services area, where the search for innovation is integrated. Also in this area, and in conjunction with the Regional Government of the Azores, the Society for Business Development of the Azores and the Code Academy, KCS IT has developed a hub de inovação na ilha Terceira: a Terceira Tech Island. Além de objetivos ligados à solidariedade social, transformação profissional e desenvolvimento desta localização, o projeto tem como foco principal a orientação de solutions para a inovação e a criação de produto.
