Applications open for the K.TECH Award

Applications for K.Tech, the prize for technology projects in the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal competition, are open until June 8. KCS iT is supporting the initiative for the sixth year and is developing a process of monitoring, evaluation and mentoring, with a view to launching the best ideas on the market.

Lisbon, May 25, 2022 - Applications are open until June 8 for the K.Tech Award, a prize aimed at business ideas related to new information technologies and their implementation in traditional business areas, which is part of the largest national entrepreneurship competition - the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal Competition. For the sixth year running, KCS iT is a Venture Partner in the initiative.

Tiago Farinha_KCS iTTiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS iT, explains that "KCS iT's connection to the Contest has been ongoing since 2016, during which time KCS iT has been a strategic partner for the growth and support of the Portuguese technological entrepreneurial ecosystem. O Entrepreneurship and innovation are part of our global strategy and are reflected in the business and projects we develop, with a view to solving needs at corporate level and in society in general, creating new solutions and contributing to a better and more sustainable world.".

KCS iT brings experience and know-how to the initiative, both through the process of mentoringIt also provides support in project management and even in the development of applications and software. The consultancy is an active part of the journey of these business ideas, accompanying and evaluating the candidates throughout the various stages of the competition. The winner is given access to a pool of hours to implement best practices.

This vision of KCS iT's commitment to new answers and models includes the recent launch of a Consulting Services area, where the search for innovation is integrated. Also in this area, and in conjunction with the Regional Government of the Azores, the Society for the Entrepreneurial Development of the Azores and the Code Academy, KCS iT developed a hub of innovation on the island of Terceira: Terceira Tech Island. In addition to objectives linked to social solidarity, professional transformation and the development of this location, the project's main focus is on orienting solutions towards innovation and product creation.
