agap2IT is investing €190,000 in innovation and knowledge to develop new projects and improve existing solutions. The research conducted in-house serves as the foundation for agap2IT’s international offerings.
Lisbon, May 25, 2015 – agap2IT is committed to its area of R&D, turning an initial investment of €190,000 into an opportunity to create solutions that position the consulting firm at the forefront of technology, demonstrating its excellence to its partners and promoting entrepreneurship. The work carried out by the agap2IT team enables the development of truly innovative projects, which form the basis of the consulting firm’s unique offering in the international markets where it operates.

The projects we carry out also help bridge the gap between the business and academic worlds, develop new technological skills, research and develop disruptive applications, and secure national and international funding.
agap2IT’s internal innovation unit has a working group dedicated to evaluating the project ideas that have been developed, with the number of consultants assigned varying depending on the number of proof-of-concept projects underway at any given time. Any agap2IT consultant who possesses vision, a critical mind, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to rigor is welcome to join this team.
The proposed ideas involve the evaluation of a think tank in-house, followed by the corresponding research and implementation, carried out by the agap2IT Academy, which results in a proof of concept to be presented internally. This proof of concept undergoes an internal evaluation, followed by a search for potential investors interested in the developed concept who wish to turn it into a product.
Among the projects that have already been developed as proof-of-concept projects are the Playone – enterprise media management platform (Azure, Azure Media Services, PaaS); Big Data in the Utilities Sector –platform for analyzing energy load curves (Azure, Hadoop); The Garage – workshop management with comprehensive tracking of vehicle repairs (Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1, Azure); SQL Server Analyzer – automated analysis of the health, maintenance, and performance of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Server) and Knowledge Box – Distributed e-learning platform (Azure, PaaS, Media Services, NoSQL).
