BMAP Virtual Week: launching a business in pandemic times

  • The 11th edition of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal competition is part of a week of speeches and debates - BMAP Virtual Week.
  • The aim is to explore the process of launching a new business in times of pandemic.
  • The initiative will cover topics such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the profile of entrepreneurs, raising investment and business internationalization.

 

LisbonSeptember 24, 2021 - The 11th edition of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal competition, the largest entrepreneurship contest in the country, will feature a week of virtual debate sessions, called BMAP Virtual Week, taking place between October 6 and 13.

The initiative is organized in partnership with Virtual Future, and deals with the challenges facing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and startups. Registration for MAP Virtual Week is free and can be done at https://virtualweek.pt.

BMAP Virtual Week will also include a gala to present the winners of the Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal competition, whose winning projects will be announced on October 9.

The BMAP Virtual Week program includes open sessions that will allow anyone to address questions to personalities from the Entrepreneurship sector in Portugal and the world. webinars themes in which topics such as:

BMAP Virtual Week also includes a digital entrepreneurship fair during which several of the projects supported in this 11th edition of the competition will be presented, as well as group and individual mentoring meetings with Acredita Portugal experts and guests, in which any project can receive support from Acredita Portugal and its network of mentors to evolve and accelerate its growth.

The Banco Montepio Acredita Portugal Competition is a non-profit initiative that organizes the largest annual entrepreneurship competition in Portugal, with more than 10,000 entrepreneurial projects every year and a total of 100,000 projects supported. Its partners help to boost companies or projects at an early stage, offering everything from mentoring and training to investment and numerous prizes.

The initiative is aimed at anyone who has a business idea but doesn't know how to implement it. Registration is free and prior training in entrepreneurship, gender or age are not relevant.
