Brisa Mobilidade 2020 finalists
The innovative mobility services and products section of the Montepio Acredita Portugal competition already has finalists. The initiative brings together entrepreneurs, experts, mentors and investors on a platform for sharing experience and knowledge and promoting and developing new business ideas..
The finalists of the Brisa Mobility Award 2020, The Montepio Acredita Portugal entrepreneurship competition, developed in partnership with Brisa, aims to stimulate and promote the creation of innovative mobility services and products. The winning project will have the opportunity to be incubated by Brisa itself and receive its support during the start-up phase. go-to-market.
The Brisa Mobility Award received 309 applications, out of a total of more than 10,000 ideas submitted to the competition. The awards ceremony will take place in September, an initiative that this year is being held in a 100% format online.
As Bruno Tavares, head of Grow Mobility, Brisa's stratup incubator, explains, “Innovation is a Brisa value, with very visible achievements on the technological side, with payment systems and smart highways, but also on the new mobility side, with the Via Verde ecosystem. Our participation in Acredita Portugal aims to bring this spirit of innovation and creativity to new entrepreneurs and thus stimulate the mobility economy of the future.”
The three finalist projects were selected by a panel of judges made up of the Brisa team and Acredita Portugal:
- BipBip -An intelligent, free customer acquisition platform that knows at all times which trucks are empty, their routes and their location. This way you get matching between the customer's request and the nearest empty truck along that route, thus achieving fast and affordable offers for the customer and making fleets more profitable for hauliers.
- bam-bu bicycles- Bamboo bicycle brand with a mission to inspire epic journeys and unique experiences by promoting well-being and sustainable mobility in Portugal. The bikes are built with sustainable materials, the frame being made entirely of bamboo, reducing the carbon footprint.
- Smart Traffic - Smart Traffic operates intelligent traffic lights, making traffic a safer and more dynamic place. Through image capture and processing based on artificial intelligence, it is possible to efficiently define the opening and closing of lanes, as well as predicting flow events.
