El Gouna FC

El Gouna FC

The FootballISM platform has begun supporting the management of El Gouna FC, a soccer club in Egypt’s top league. It is streamlining internal processes across all departments, as well as talent management and athletic performance. The technology platform, developed in Portugal by agap2IT, will enable the management of more than 200 players and improve the effectiveness of complementary areas such as scouting, the medical department, and player training.

Lisbon, July 3, 2019 - The platform FootballISM, developed by agap2IT, was implemented in the youth and professional soccer teams of the El Gouna FC, from Egypt. It will be used by more than 50 club staff members and will manage data for 200 players, from the youth teams to the professional team. For the club, the acquisition of this technology platform aims to maximize the talent in the youth system and the senior squad, optimize internal processes, and enhance athletic performance.

El Gouna FC will use the platform under a Premium Plan—which includes all available features, specifically player management, pro scouting, legal department, equipment management, technical staff, medical department, logistics, recruitment and facilities, agents, and nutrition; along with mobile apps for players, coaches, and youth scouting.

The club will use the Arabic version of FootballISM, released in April, with a view to advancing professional soccer in countries where the fifth most widely spoken language in the world is used on a daily basis.

According to Nader Shawky, CEO of Eleven 11, the company that manages El Gouna FC, “----- FootballISM is a highly comprehensive technology platform that will help us improve the efficiency of our processes. El Gouna FC has an innovation-driven mindset, and in that regard, we believe that FootballISM is the perfect vehicle to lead us toward a prominent future in soccer. By adopting this solution, we are confident that we are embarking on a path of continuous development for our club and that we will contribute to the improvement of African soccer as a whole.

For Filipe Esteves, Managing Director of agap2IT and responsible for FootballISM: “The implementation of FootballISM at a club with El Gouna FC’s ambitious growth goals and in a league like the Egyptian league—which stands out on the African continent—is practical proof of its effectiveness and of this solution’s adaptability to different realities and needs. From this point forward, and through a Through a single customizable platform, all of the club’s departments are integrated, which allows you to enhance the sophistication of your sports and operational operations. The goal is to give any club the opportunity to reach a new level in how it manages the well-being and development of its athletes, as well as the various processes that contribute to their success.".

The FootballISM platform is available in three different models, depending on the plan and features selected. The pricing structure varies and can be tailored to each club’s budget and needs. This more flexible subscription model (SaaS) was developed to democratize access to technology across all levels of professional and youth soccer, thereby taking a supportive approach toward all clubs regardless of their budget or size. The tool, which streamlines all processes for clubs and soccer academies and enables decision-making that leads to financial and athletic gains, is available to everyone.

FootballISM was developed based on the experience of the Alcochete Academy (Sporting Clube de Portugal); it is currently used by clubs on three continents (Europe, South America, and Africa) and is the technology platform chosen by Liga Portugal to support the professionalization of its 36 member clubs.

El Gouna FC is an ambitious club, founded in 2003, that competes in the top division of the country’s soccer league. Egypt is a soccer powerhouse in Africa, having won the African Nations Cup seven times. Its clubs have won the African Champions League 14 times, a record number compared to teams from other countries.
