Euromaster exceeds 10% market share in light vehicles and 15% in industrial vehicles
The Euromaster network of service centers, which specializes in comprehensive vehicle maintenance, is strengthening its leadership with 88 locations.
Lisbon, February 8 - A Euromaster, a network of repair shops specializing in comprehensive vehicle maintenance, saw its market share increase in 2023, ending the year with more than 10% in light vehicles and more than 15% in commercial vehicles (trucks), further solidifying its leadership position.
All of this has been accompanied by an expansion of the network in the Iberian Peninsula, which now totals 524 service centers, 88 of which are located in Portugal, while the rest are divided between Spain and Andorra. At the European level, Euromaster has expanded its geographic reach by % over the past four years, exceeding 2,700 service centers across 18 European countries.
As part of the company’s growth, several milestones were achieved in 2023. First, the consolidation of the franchising model, with Euromaster reaching 409 open centers in the Iberian Peninsula (88 franchised workshops in Portugal and 321 in Spain). Second, the creation of a Marketplace—a digital tool—that is centralizing the procurement of all spare parts and tires, bringing efficiency and competitiveness to all workshops in the network.
On the other hand, Euromaster continued to focus on digitalization as a key differentiator for its network. In fact, digital channels are becoming an important source of traffic for service centers. It is worth noting that 80% of the customers who visit a Euromaster center find their way there through the Internet.
2023 was also a year in which Euromaster continued to invest in training employees across its entire network, since this is a “living” profession that must continually adapt to the new knowledge and skills required not only by electric vehicles but also by vehicles included in the new mobility sector (electric bicycles, scooters, and kick scooters).
Goals for 2024
The 2024 fiscal year will be crucial for making progress toward the goal of reaching 600 centers in the Iberian Peninsula by the end of 2026. This figure would enable the Euromaster network to meet one of its main objectives: to service 75% of the light-duty vehicle fleet on the road and 80% of trucks.
This year, Euromaster will also continue to focus on the growth of new forms of mobility, such as electric vehicles, including bicycles and scooters—the latter playing an increasingly important role, especially in urban areas. All of this is part of its “One Stop Shop” philosophy, which enables and equips all workshops in the network to provide services for any type of mobility.
And it’s not just the type of vehicle, but also services that cover the use—rather than the ownership—of the car, such as leasing, which is becoming increasingly concentrated. Here, Euromaster’s geographic reach is strategic and, in turn, a major source of traffic for repair shops.
In terms of franchising, the company will focus on continuing to enhance the value proposition for its franchisees, supported by an operational transformation that will enable the network to be more efficient and better connected with these businesses.
According to Francis Ferreira, CEO of Euromaster: “In 2024, we must continue to work on our organizational transformation with a focus on people (better work-life balance, proximity, reducing travel, etc.), as well as continue to provide better service to our franchisees, with whom we will continue to walk side by side. All of this is in line with our main goal: working for people. The efforts of the entire team will allow us to continue being the network of
”the service centers most highly valued by customers, especially for the professionalism of all the staff who are part of the Euromaster family.".
