Lisbon, June 27, 2017 – agap2IT has developed FootballISM, a technology platform created in partnership with the Alcochete Academy, which enables the maximization of human and material resources in professional soccer. This digital solution is part of a strategy outlined by the Portuguese Soccer Federation (FPF) aimed at defining and certifying training organizations associated with youth soccer. FootballISM thus serves as a solution for club certification, helping them achieve the objectives set forth by the FPF.

The FPF’s Regulations on the Certification of Training Organizations highlight the need to ensure the development of high-potential young players during their essential developmental stages: their recruitment and their athletic training. Having a well-defined strategy for athlete development and being able to assess the overall performance of youth soccer are key factors for continuous improvement and the success of the policy that has been developed. Professional clubs that are better equipped technologically in information management for the selection and development of players are the ones that achieve the surplus the athletic and financial resources needed to win.

For Filipe Esteves, Managing Director of agap2IT and responsible for FootballISM: “The expertise embedded in the solutions we develop allows us to identify sectors relevant to our work, with specific needs to which the experience and knowledge of agap2IT’s consultants can provide original solutions. Professional soccer may not be an obvious area, but the investment involved and the level of complexity and sophistication of the processes developed in this context make it an ideal field for creating innovative technological solutions. ”The fact that we had the opportunity to develop this platform in partnership with Sporting Clube de Portugal validates the effort and investment made and offers very positive prospects for its use.”.

FootballISM manages in detail the athletic, academic, social, and personal development of soccer’s most valuable asset: the players. It is the only technology platform on the market capable of providing a detailed and comprehensive analysis of: scouting, recruitment, training and competition evaluation, facility and equipment management, and medical and legal matters. The platform enables unlimited quantitative and qualitative data analysis, providing club officials with the best information for monitoring and decision-making.

It was developed based on the experience of the Alcochete Academy, with Sporting Clube de Portugal being the only club in the world to have produced two FIFA World Player of the Year winners—Luís Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo. The club’s various academy departments participated in the development of the platform in collaboration with agap2IT.
