Montepio Acredita Portugal competition gala

The winners of the 10th edition of the Montepio Acredita Portugal Contest are announced today, among more than 10 thousand applications received. The competition includes projects in the areas of social entrepreneurship, mobility, sustainability, technology, innovation, product and education.

It is today that the winning projects of the 10th edition of the Contest - selected from 10.640 ideas, promoted by Acredita Portugal and Banco Montepio - will be known. The relevance of the Contest is justified by Fernando Fraga, Director of Innovation at Acredita Portugal, since "There are changes that force us to rethink the models of organizations and adapt business to the situation we are experiencing. Acredita Portugal's experience in supporting entrepreneurs allows us to make this contest a platform to help everyone with a valid idea to realize it in this context of increased challenges. The purpose is to have an objective impact on how these projects can be developed, reach the market and become viable businesses with a contribution to the area of activity in which they are inserted and to the community in general. We believe that by combining our experience with the right partners, we can achieve this ambitious goal."

At the Montepio Acredita Portugal Competition Gala, the award categories reflect the comprehensive nature of the initiative, which aims to be a space for empowering entrepreneurship. The following finalists are competing:

Social Entrepreneurship category, sponsored by Banco Montepio

Stop Bullying - The concept of bullying is introduced to pre-school children through the Marcolina Stork. With a book and a board game, positive methods and behaviors are developed in children as young as 3 years old to prevent and combat the disease. bullying, based on fun activities and challenges.

bam-bu bicycles - Bamboo bicycle brand, with the mission to inspire epic journeys and unique experiences, promoting well-being and sustainable mobility in Portugal. The bikes are built with sustainable materials, the frame being entirely made of bamboo, reducing the carbon footprint.

Smart Traffic - It operates intelligent traffic lights, making traffic a safer and more dynamic place. Through image capture and processing based on artificial intelligence, it is possible to efficiently define the opening and closing of lanes, as well as predict flow events.

Dime - Project that aims to transform the sports talent market. It is the social network that reinvents the way players showcase their characteristics digitally - through video moments - using artificial intelligence to balance the demand and supply of talent, on a global scale.

UaiNot - Subscription service that gives access to a platform with thousands of partner offers in a 2-for-1 format, thus translating into a guide to lifestyle where users discover new places and experiences to share, while spending less money.

ConduMeet - Digital platform that aims to "uncomplicate" the management and monitoring of the condominium(s) through the collaboration of neighbors, bringing them together around something common, to unite those who the walls separate.

Category H2O innovation by Águas de Gaia

SCEMAI - It seeks to maximize the performance of energy consumption and fault monitoring through artificial intelligence models and data analysis, allowing the optimization of production.

Modular Drainage Paving - It meets seven UN sustainable development goals, restores permeability to the soil, reduces expenditure on stormwater treatment, allows architectural flexibility and improves the micro-environment.
