Velca ONE and sustainable mobility in Portugal
Lisbon, June 20th, 2024 - Velca arrives in Portugal with an innovative proposal for the electric motorcycle market, which is expected to grow by 2024 and contribute to sustainable mobility and the road to zero emissions.
The new Velca ONE has several differentiating features compared to its competitors on the market. Features such as a range of up to 220 kilometers, a top speed of up to 125 km/h, the possibility of charging it from any household socket, a guaranteed after-sales service and quality components such as Michelin tires and the ABS braking system.
This new model has an integrated battery, designed to provide optimum quality, design and maximum safety on any trip.
Quality, design, safety and autonomy are Velca's key words for making the Velca ONE, a model top selling.
All these elements have been implemented with the aim of launching the electric motorcycle that finally surpasses a 125 cc combustion bike.
In the context of helping to promote the shift to zero-emission mobility, the electric motorcycle can contribute as a solution, and the data obtained from the Portuguese market justifies this.
In 2023, 1,544 electric motorcycle registrations were recorded in Portugal. In 2024, a total of 1,287 electric motorcycle registrations are expected.
An expected 4,760 electric motorcycle registrations between 2022 and 2024, with 3,473 registrations in the first two years, demonstrate the desire of motorcyclists in Portugal to contribute to sustainable mobility and justify Velca's strategic arrival on the Portuguese market.

A Velca ONE is available in five colors - blue, grey, black, green and red - and is priced at €6,950. This model is part of the L3e category - license required A1 (from 16 years old) or B (with 3 years' experience).
