PrémioK.TechLisbon, June 2nd, 2017 - FoundVet was revealed today as the winning startup of the K.Tech Award, the Montepio Acredita Portugal competition aimed at projects related to new Information Technologies and supported by KCS iT. The startup will now be able to count on the consultancy's support for its entry into the market, through the award of a grant of hours to implement best practices at PMI level. The VII Gala of the Montepio Acredita Portugal Competition took place this evening at the Lisbon Congress Center.

FoundVet plans to create an app for pet owners, allowing them to book veterinary appointments at clinics and hospitals or at home and find out which veterinary professionals are available by location.

For Tiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS iT, "the partnership implemented with Acredita Portugal is a unique opportunity for us to contribute to boosting the entrepreneurial fabric, identifying differentiating business ideas and talented entrepreneurs, and supporting them in entering the market. The winning project was recognized for presenting a combination of innovative technology and an original offer, and for having the potential to bring about a transformation in the specific sector in which it operates. We are currently preparing the next step in this process. We are very keen to start working with those responsible at FoundVet to make its implementation more effective and successful, from the point of view of the company's customers. PMI-level practices that distinguish KCS iT".

The three finalist projects for the K.Tech Award were selected by a panel of judges made up of members of KCS iT and Acredita Portugal, at a session held last April at Microsoft's headquarters in Lisbon.
