KCS iT is committed to international expansion with the appointment of the management team for the consulting firm’s International Unit. This international expansion process, which has been in the works for the past two years, aims to generate an additional 4M€ in revenue by 2020.
Lisbon, March 2, 2016 – KCS iT has embarked on a new phase in its international expansion efforts with the appointment of Pedro Caetano as Unit Manager of the consulting firm’s International Unit. After intensive preparation over the past two years, this initiative is the logical next step following the work carried out by KCS iT consultants on locally based teams for international projects, initially focusing on Belgium and Luxembourg and with an expected revenue of €4 million by 2020.
The increased focus on other regions aims to bring the consulting firm’s services and team to countries and clients through a more structured approach to expansion and business, made possible by the identification of opportunities and the work already carried out by KCS iT with international partners.
For Tiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS iT, “The internationalization process is a very important step in KCS iT’s strategy. It is not just a matter of appointing Pedro Caetano to lead this initiative; the consulting firm’s Board of Directors and senior management are also deeply involved in this process. We believe that through the working group we’ve established and the business plan we’ve developed, this business strategy will enable KCS iT to meet and exceed the established goals, as well as respond to the challenges that some clients are already beginning to face. Naturally, the size of our market was crucial in helping us realize that we would need to go further to bring our brand up to the desired level.”.
According to Pedro Caetano, Unit Manager of KCS iT’s International Unit, this process “This was a challenge that had been in the works for some time, in coordination with management. After sustaining KCS iT’s growth in Portugal, we began a process back in 2014 with an eye toward where we are today—that is, establishing a unit with an exclusively international scope. In that sense, it’s exciting to take on this challenge, helping to build what we believe could be KCS iT’s next step toward success. It’s a natural source of motivation that comes as the culmination of a plan that has been carefully devised, tested, and in which we believe.”.
In response to the challenges identified at this stage—which primarily involve acquiring new clients and the possibility of assembling a team to work abroad if necessary—the consulting firm offers a proven track record of client references, a team of excellence, and a distinctive brand associated with its project management services.
At the same time, the consulting firm plans to focus its efforts on monitoring identified market trends by developing solutions in the following areas: Web, Application and Mobile; Big Data/Business Intelligence; Infrastructure and Integration.
The projects developed by the consulting firm have already made it possible to build on experience with teams working alongside local clients on international projects; today, KCS iT consultants can be found in places as diverse as Malaysia, Thailand, Ireland, Turkey, Dubai, Switzerland, and France.
