People@2020 Launch Invitation

14.Oct.2015 - On October 22, at 6:30 p.m., the launch ceremony of the People@2020 Movement will be held at Microsoft - Windows Auditorium (Parque das Nações). Coordinated by Manuel Sousa Antunes, president of CRHLP - Confederation of Human Resources Professionals of Portuguese-speaking Countries, it is an informal and independent movement of professionals from various organizational backgrounds linked to people management, which aims to make the association representing human resources professionals an active, heard and respected voice in matters relating to people in the organizational context.

The event will be attended by Carla Rocha (trainer and presenter of RFM's "Rocha no Ar" radio program), Pedro Janela (chief executive officer of Wy Group) and António Simões (sports commentator), who will give a tip talk on "People at the Center of Decisions". Dalia Turner, director of Human Resources at Microsoft, will also be speaking about future trends in human resources management. Before the guest speakers take part, the People@2020 program will be presented.

There will be graphic recording by Daniel Lança Perdigão, from UpSideUp, throughout the event. And participants will be welcomed with a welcome drink and wine tasting.

Admission is free, but you must register via the website (www.pessoas2020.pt/eventos.html) or email comunicacao@pessoas2020.pt, quoting your name, position and company/institution.

Pessoas@2020 arose from the desire of a broad group of managers, entrepreneurs, consultants and trainers to put Human Capital definitively at the top of the agenda of organizational, political and economic decision-makers in Portugal by 2020. It also aims to: open up the association representing human resources professionals to all those who manage people; contribute to positioning the HR function as part of the business; increase the prestige and influence of HR professionals in the organizational context; disseminate the best organizational practices in terms of people management; and encourage business sustainability and people management.

This Movement already has the support of several prominent personalities, in the Human Resources area and beyond, and also has a strong following on social networks, namely Facebook (www.facebook.com/pessoas2020) and Linkedin (www.linkedin.com/company/pessoas-2020).

Anyone interested in supporting this initiative should do so on the People@2020 website, via the following link www.pessoas2020.pt/como-subscrever.html.
