MAKSEN: Technologies that enhance efficiency

Maksen launches the offer efficient technology focused on driving innovation and business growth for its clients. The solution developed is associated with cost savings that can amount to 25% within one year.

Lisbon, December 15, 2014 – The Offer Technology Efficiency Launched by Maksen, this initiative brings together a range of expertise designed to support its clients in implementing management and innovation strategies. The projects developed demonstrate the value for money of this type of solution, including the immediate reduction in the number of systems from 15% to 30% and the immediate reduction in OPEX and CAPEX costs from 2% to 10%, which could amount to 25% over a 12-month period.

To Rui PMaksenEdro Vaz, Partner at Maksen Portugal, “In an economic climate that imposes budgetary constraints on organizations, we have focused our efforts on helping our clients manage their resources more efficiently and on enhancing their ability to develop initiatives that streamline business processes and improve analytical capabilities. We believe that the winners in this economic cycle will be the companies that do more and better with less, with technology playing a decisive role in the implementation of their strategies. Never before have concepts such as flexibility, time-to-market, mobility, or global reach shown such a strong correlation between business and technology.”.

In an increasingly globalized and competitive market, where organizations are placing greater emphasis on growth objectives and the sophistication of their commercial offerings, Maksen’s proprietary methodology consists of a set of predefined models that have been tested in various business contexts and offer a high degree of flexibility and customization to meet the specific needs of each organization.

Applying this approach makes it possible to quantify and optimize the OPEX and CAPEX structure by asset and to classify the potential for—or plan the discontinuation of—each application and its respective infrastructure. Additionally, in terms of optimizing OPEX and CAPEX structures, this approach promotes a greater focus on technological innovation by simplifying, increasing the flexibility of, and scaling the application architecture and related infrastructure through consolidation, standardization, and integration, and the reallocation of human, technological, and financial resources—previously allocated primarily to operations and maintenance activities—toward innovation initiatives.

Maksen’s technology division accounts for approximately half of the consulting firm’s global operations and is projected to achieve “double-digit” growth across all geographies and industry sectors where Maksen currently operates. This growth is driven by a common strategy—one that is tailored, in its implementation, to the specific realities of each market and sector—and is supported by a clear focus on the firm’s most relevant expertise and experience, particularly in the areas of strategy and governance, development and integration, and business intelligence/analytics.
