January 15, 2020: Mazars, the international auditing and consulting firm, today announced a turnover of €1.8 billion for the 2018/2019 fiscal year (from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019), an increase of 10.4% (excluding the exchange rate impact of +0.2%) compared to the previous year. The increase was supported by strong organic growth of 9%, complemented by external growth of 1.3%.

2019: a landmark year for international expansion
In addition to the financial results, 2019 also saw the signing of the Mazars North America Alliance agreement in July. The Mazars North America Alliance represents a landmark agreement between Mazars and five leading companies in North America and Canada - BDK, Dixon Hughes Goodman, Moss Adams, Plante Moran (USA) and MNP (Canada). The Mazars North America Alliance represents a major change for Mazars, which now has full coverage in North America and provides international clients with access to more than 16,000 professionals in the region. Mazars now has 40,400 professionals worldwide (24,400 are part of the partnership integrated) and 318 offices in 91 countries and territories.

Global growth
Mazars' international expansion is reflected in the geographical distribution of its revenue sources, with more than a third of turnover coming from outside Europe.
All regions recorded strong growth in 2018/2019: 7.8% in Western Europe, 13.6% in Central and Eastern Europe, 12.1% in North America, 13.1% in Latin America, 9.4% in Africa and the Middle East, with the highest growth recorded in Asia-Pacific (22.6%). Asia-Pacific now accounts for 15% of Mazars' total turnover. In China, the company has over 4,000 employees and more than 30 offices. Mazars' operations in China include 137 large listed companies and grew by 19% last year. In Australia, Mazars grew by 100% in 2019, thanks to the integration of two local companies.
A broad and balanced expertise
Auditing is at the heart of Mazars' expertise and will continue to be its core business in the coming years. To support the growing needs of its clients, Mazars has built up a significant offering in consulting, tax and advisory services. compliance. Today, auditing and accounting account for 63% of total revenue and consulting for 37%.
As it expands geographically, Mazars is experiencing sustained growth in each of its business lines. Growth in 2018/2019 was: auditing +8.5%, accounting services and outsourcing +8.2%, consultancy +24.2%, tax advisory +9.9%, legal (not included in the range of services offered in Portugal) +34.9% and financial advisory services +9.5%.

Mazars' strength also lies in its ability to grow profitably and sustainably. Mazars in Portugal
In Portugal, Mazars recorded a positive performance in 2018/2019. In 2020, the combination of organic growth and external growth operations is expected to enable double-digit growth.
The firm has 180 employees, spread across three offices and led by a team of six partners.
