Say U Consulting is touring the country with “COMM Route for Start-ups and Entrepreneurs”, is holding a workshop in Almada today designed to boost the communication of startups and entrepreneurship projects. The initiative, developed with the partners of the national incubators (Porto, Lisbon, Almada, Vila Nova de Gaia, Guimarães and Faro), aims to provide the agents of the national entrepreneurship ecosystem with know-how and solutions to meet the challenges of communication.
Lisbon, July 7th, 2016 - Marketing communications consultancy Say U Consulting is developing the “COMM Route for Startups and Entrepreneurs”, a series of workshops aimed at the challenges of communication in a startup. How to deal with the challenges of communication in the context of a startup and how to create buzz around a product or service without spending a fortune is the answer this initiative aims to provide. This initiative seeks to fill a gap in the national training offer and provide entrepreneurs, start-up managers and communication professionals who want to specialize in this niche with tools to help tell stories.
The “Rota”, which arrived in Almada today for an event at Madan Parque, aims to get closer to the reality of entrepreneurship on the ground through workshops held in incubation centers across the country and to provide tools for an integrated dissemination strategy at key moments such as the “go-to-market” or attracting new markets. In this first phase, in addition to the “Bê-á-Bá da Comunicação para StartUPs e Empreendedores” workshops held in Porto and Lisbon, actions are also scheduled for Vila Nova de Gaia (INOVAGAIA) on July 14 and Guimarães (Avepark) on July 15. On September 15, the “Route” heads south for an event in Faro with ANJE. The challenge for the next few months is to reach the entire national business fabric of this type, in partnership with incubation centers and local business associations, and to reach other areas of the country.
For Marta Gonçalves, Managing Partner of Say U Consulting “It was in the course of our relationship with the Acredita Portugal Association and with the candidates and winners of the Entrepreneurship Competitions that we devised “GO360” - a methodology developed to be applied to the design of startup business communication strategies. In these interactions, we repeated over and over again that a well-designed communication strategy is a key component of any startup's marketing, since the right actions help to decode the product or service, build reputation, trust and credibility, and establish sustainable interest, contributing to the longevity of brands. In this Rota, we want to help you think about how brands can tell their story, find their own voice, and turn a clear and simple message into something interesting and unique.”he adds.
“Despite the fact that the Portuguese are among the most risk-taking in terms of entrepreneurship in the European Union, Portugal has one of the lowest survival rates among younger companies. With this scenario very much in mind, we tried to provide a training offer that would help people think in a practical way about what separates the big from the small and what determines success and, conversely, what leads to failure. Communication, as a key vector of success, is a good example of this”he concludes.
This initiative is aimed at start-up managers, entrepreneurs and communication professionals and will cover “Think big, act small” strategies for building niche campaigns, with a perfect match between creativity, size, stadium and available resources.
