The essential element in a marketing strategy

communication-group element

Reputation is a crucial factor in determining customer conversion rates. We’re not the only ones spending resources on communication; our competitors are doing exactly the same thing, and the brand’s potential customers are exposed to various forms of marketing. But when a customer has to choose a service or product, reputation plays a decisive role.

But how can the public judge someone's reputation?

When we’re getting ready to buy a gift for a friend or when we want to try a new restaurant, we turn to the opinions of others for recommendations. If the response is positive, we feel encouraged to make that purchase or visit the restaurant.

This is precisely how reputation works for brands. The public looks for recommendations, reviews, ratings, and feedback from customers with whom the brand has already interacted. Advertising and other promotional tools are how we present our offerings. They are effective only to a certain extent. But customer reviews are seen as the unbiased opinions of people who have no connection to the brand or the organization. This type of opinion carries greater weight.

Reviews are essential to business and the conversion process, but encouraging organic positive reviews is a challenge. Most customers, even though they are satisfied with the products or services provided, do not share their own opinions about them.

On the other hand, customers who are dissatisfied are more likely to feel compelled to express their disappointment on social media platforms, review sites, and via email. The challenge is to maximize positive reviews and find a way to reduce negative ones—or even turn them into positive ones.

A marketing strategy is incomplete and, in most cases, ineffective without the positive reinforcement of customer reviews. Marketing provides visibility for the product or service. But it also increases exposure to negative reviews. That is why an effective process is needed through which positive reviews can be amplified and negative ones turned into an advantage for the brand. With this element in place, the overall marketing strategy and the resulting promotional strategy will make the offering more relevant and appealing to our target audience.
