The winners of the Award will be supported by KCS iT in their entry into the market, through the award of a grant of hours to implement best practices at PMI level.

Tiago Farinha, Managing Director of KCS iT, points out the relevance of this partnership since "The last few years have seen major changes. If we used to talk about stand-alone technology and machines that communicated little with each other, today this has very quickly evolved into web-based technologies, where everything is based on the network, and the IoT, with all our everyday devices interconnected and aggregated into a network. This whole reality is being followed by companies, industry and business. The partnership developed between KCS iT and Acredita Portugal allows us to point out good examples and boost the success of promising projects in this context."

Fernando Fraga, Innovation Director at Acredita Portugal, explains that "In partnership with KCS iT, we have set up an award dedicated to technology applied to traditional Portuguese industrial sectors, to industries that already exist but need to be updated, enabling the creation of larger-scale, more sustainable businesses that preserve knowledge. Technology is not the goal, but it is the way to get there. The added value of technology and what we do with KCS iT is to take technology where it is not yet present and to develop new solutions for traditional sectors of industry and take them to a new level of growth."

In a selection process that begins with an analysis of the market and the business model, candidates go through successive stages of development, from the marketing plan and financial plan to the presentation of the project in the form of a pitch.

All participants in the competition receive prizes, thanks to Acredita Portugal's network of partners who invest in Portuguese entrepreneurs. Among all the prizes awarded (participants, semi-finalists, finalists and winners), there are more than €500,000 in prizes in services offered by our partners, with the aim of supporting the needs at the time of the competition. go to market.
