To be visible in order to be Present

5488E4F33B visibleFor third sector organizations looking for an effective communication strategy, it can seem a challenge to understand how to "think" and act in this context. This is a reality that is necessarily different from the more usual communication processes and is considerably complex when the aim is to integrate complementary actions for different audiences.

The starting point for any communication strategy, not just for organizations of this type, must make use of experience, know-how and skills. If, on the one hand, experience can be drawn directly from the activities carried out by the organization's staff and volunteers, acquiring the necessary knowledge and applying it becomes more complicated. It is in this perspective that the partnerships developed prove to be really useful, enabling the organization to make the desired evolution in the design of the Communication strategy.

The goal of the “#PresentesMdM” campaign—which Médicos do Mundo (MdM) has just launched and in which Say U is participating—is to mobilize partners and create a platform for communication, marketing, and fundraising.

In response to the rise in the number of cases of poverty and social exclusion, MdM is receiving an increasing number of requests for assistance while simultaneously facing a decline in financial support from the government, businesses, and private individuals.

The platform to be implemented aims to secure the resources and financial support needed to continue promoting access to free health care and assistance for more than 5,000 people through eight ongoing national projects in Lisbon and Porto, as well as other projects that may be implemented in the future.

To achieve this, establishing a network of strategic partners for MdM is the first step toward developing initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the organization and its work, sharing information, and recruiting volunteers and donors. The technical knowledge and specific skills of the organizations, companies, and professionals that make up this platform are fundamental to these initiatives and objectives.
