AGAP2IT takes innovation to Europe

Last year saw the consolidation of the internalization of agap2IT, with the consultancy's international projects unit achieving growth of 69.7% in this period, along with an increase in operations in Nearshore (63.1%). In 2017, the focus will be on pursuing a strategy of international expansion, by entering new markets, as well as enhancing the offer with the kick off of various innovative IT business solutions.

2016 was a year for agap2IT a period of consolidation of a strategy of growth and enhancement of the offer made available, in a current context where there is a greater need on the part of companies to acquire IT solutions that boost business and resources. The focus on international projects and Nearshore operations, with growth of 69.7% and 63.1%, respectively, enabled the consultancy to close the year with a profit of 12.6M€. The continuation of the international focus in 2017 is expected to achieve targets of around 13.5 million euros in turnover.

For Filipe Esteves, Managing Director of agap2IT, "the goal of establishing agap2IT as a global player in the sector led to the inevitable implementation of an international geographic expansion strategy that was reinforced in 2017, namely with the entry of the consultancy into the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom. The quality of the teams and the offer in Portugal has resulted in increased trust, business and responsibility for agap2IT. The group's Digital Transformation skills center is fully operational in Portugal, responding to major challenges from global companies. This is a natural step in the evolution of the ambitious positioning that has always guided the company's operations."

Against a backdrop of constant technological growth, agap2IT intends to expand its offer in 2017 with new innovative IT projects. Examples of these projects are Football ISM, a platform that provides soccer clubs with a tool for managing all the essential information and processes in the most varied aspects of Professional Football and Training; the development of solutions in the area of Intangible Blockchainwith the aim of replacing conventional databases; the Horus 2.0, a new step in the Social & Listening Management which allows you to not only manage social networks, but also to analyze user sentiment and boost the success of any marketing campaign; and the Knowledge Box, a training platform that allows you to buy and sell content, aimed at end users who will be able to consume the training content.

The focus on developing new solutions is part of a strategy to bring Digital Transformation to companies, boosting their efficiency and increasing and diversifying their business. agap2IT is also following the trend of increased spending on ICT solutions, making use of its accumulated knowledge and skills and the answers designed for the consultancy's national and international clients.
