agap2IT is currently developing five training programs integrated into the consultancy's Academy and taught by its R&D department. Aimed at national and international professionals and graduate students, the training provides for integration into research projects and the development of innovative solutions.
Lisbon, July 2nd, 2018 - The agap2IT Academy is developing its most comprehensive training program to date, guided by the consultancy's Research & Development (R&D) area and open to students from various national and international faculties. This is also the moment for the launch of an innovative agap2IT Ambassadors program that serves as a bridge between the academic community and the consultancy context.
The training program implemented includes five simultaneous training formats for a total of 20 trainees from the Instituto Superior Técnico, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, the Instituto Politécnico de Beja, the University of Edinburgh and Telecom SudParis.
For Ricardo Schiller Pinto, head of the Academy and Director of R&D agap2IT, "We are constantly in contact with academic institutions and young professionals in order to identify, in a consultancy context, how we can develop skills and boost the sharing of knowledge and innovation. The training programs run as part of the Academy aim to bring this closer together, in the context of R&D projects, with the support of agap2IT mentors and the potential to develop innovative solutions."
The training courses to be developed by the agap2IT Academy include Mini gyms, with a month and a half of practical training and a week of theoretical training, aimed at a wide range of professionals; GymsThe course is for graduates only, with three months of practical training and one week of theory; End-of-course internships e International traineesBoth last three months.
These are essentially practical courses. They comprise one week of theoretical training, with the rest of the time allocated to the development of R&D projects in technological areas such as: Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Code Generation, Automatic Data Extraction, Knowledge and Media, and Data Security and Privacy.
For the first time, the Academy is also part of a program of agap2IT ambassadorsThe program is open to the best bachelor's and master's students. This program includes a one-month period of training and research in a cutting-edge technological area. In addition, these trainees will "join" the agap2IT team for the following year, having the chance to take part in the consultancy's internal events and benefit from a multitude of training activities and receive personalized support from agap2IT's Human Resources department.
