Euromaster assistance service: The average incident resolution time in Portugal is around 2 hours, according to OK24Horas.

Lisbon, June 26, 2025 - What are the main road incidents involving commercial vehicles? According to OK24Horas, the roadside assistance service of Euromaster, notes that 80% of the recorded breakdowns are tire-related.

Of these tire-related assistance services, the majority concern changing and completely replacing a tire, as well as repairing a puncture and fitting a rim. After tires, the most common type of assistance is the fitting of various types of spare parts to the truck's structure (14.5% of interventions) and work to repair a mechanical breakdown (3.5%).

In addition, OK24Horas is already prepared to deal with new types of alerts, in this case those sent by TPMS devices (tire pressure and temperature monitoring system), thus anticipating the possible paralysis of the vehicle due to a puncture, or even a possible accident due to a blown tire.

During 2024, OK24Horas recorded more than 2,000 services in Portugal, which represents an increase of 12% in the work carried out compared to 2023. As for the average time taken to resolve the incident, i.e. from the moment it is reported until the truck is back on the road, the average time was more than two hours.
