Franchising entrusts communication to SayU Consulting

Franchising

Cristina Matos, Secretary General and CEO of APF, and Marta Gonçalves, Managing Partner at SayU

SayU Consulting is partnering with the Portuguese Franchising Association to strengthen its communication strategy.

This initiative comes at a time of new challenges for companies and entrepreneurs and new opportunities for the franchising industry.

The Portuguese Franchising Association (APF) has entered into a strategic partnership with SayU Consulting. The communications and marketing consulting firm will be responsible for amplifying the APF’s message in support of the franchising ecosystem in Portugal, promoting its visibility among stakeholders and strengthening its role in innovation and the promotion of the sector.

In response to this challenge, SayU Consulting brings its expertise in developing strategies for defining market positioning and building reputation for franchises and franchisees. This track record and know-how form the basis of the “GO360º>PR4Franchising” communication methodology, developed by the consulting firm to enable a structured communication response to stakeholders in the sector and support its business goals.

As Cristina Matos, Secretary General and CEO of APF, explains, “Given the changing landscape—in which even some of our channels for engaging with the public have evolved—it is essential that we have an effective communication strategy. We have a message to convey: to make the value of franchising tangible. To achieve this, the contribution of our partners is essential, and it is for this purpose that we have now established this partnership with SayU Consulting.”.

According to Marta Gonçalves, Managing Partner at SayU Consulting, “This is a time of challenges in the business environment. In this context, it is essential that any organization’s communications—particularly when it plays a decisive role in a given sector—be planned and intentional. SayU’s close understanding of the challenges brands face in reaching their audience and carving out their niche allows us to view the APF’s mission in a different light as we seek to understand how its role and scope can grow and evolve. This is the challenge we aim to address.”.

The partnership precedes the “Expofranchise 2022” event—which was postponed last year—and the first-ever presentation of the APF’s Seals of Excellence in Franchising, an award given to companies operating in the franchise market in Portugal.
