Portugal Agora takes stock of the past ten years with a series of experts to to present perspectives and help clarify a roadmap through 2030.
Lisbon, July 21 – The Portugal Agora platform (www.portugalagora.com) will host the “1st Portugal Agora Convention – Vision, Strategy, and Action” on Thursday, June 27. Starting at 3:00 p.m. at the Thalia Theater in Lisbon, the event will take stock of the project’s progress and present a vision for its future. Admission is free with prior registration.
It was ten years ago that the newly created platform Portugal Agora It organized its first event. A decade later, after more than 30 events and approximately 60 proposals, it aims to take stock of the four dimensions that guide its strategic vision and identify the major transformations we should strive for in the coming years.
To that end, a group of experts, who will share their perspectives and help clarify the path forward: from our vision, through our strategy, to the actions that need to be set in motion. And where we want to be, as a country, in 2030.
According to the president of the Portugal Agora platform, “This event aims to take stock of the four dimensions that guide our strategic vision (”Attractive Portugal,’ ‘Knowledge-Based Portugal,’ ‘Entrepreneurial Portugal,’ and ‘Resilient Portugal’) and identify the major achievements we should strive to accomplish in the coming years.”.
Specifically, “How can we set ourselves apart as a country by capitalizing on our economic, social, and cultural competitive advantages and mitigating risks in this era of global uncertainty?”adds Carlos Sezões.

About Portugal Agora: It is a project that aims to promote a vision for our country based on four dimensions (Attractiveness, Knowledge, Entrepreneurship, Resilience), with the goal of facilitating the transition from strategy to action—generating concrete proposals for public policies or civil society initiatives. The project was developed by a group of citizens (more than 450 signatories) who volunteered to create a platform for realizing this vision.
