Partners support Doctors of the World

Médecins du Monde uses the support and sponsorship obtained from partners as the basis for developing its publicity campaign and obtaining funds to implement its projects. The aim of the "WE ARE ALL VISIBLE" campaign is to raise funds for the association's national projects.

 

Lisbon, March 9th, 2016 - Médecins du Monde is preparing to launch its 2016 campaign. Under the motto "WE ARE ALL VIABLE", the association is making the support provided by partners a key factor in raising funds for its activities and the implementation of projects with populations at risk.

According to Fernando Vasco, Vice-President of Médecins du Monde, "At a time when there are more and more cases of poverty and social exclusion in Portugal, the Doctors of the World Association is also receiving more requests for help, while at the same time facing a decrease in public, corporate and private financial support.".

The campaign's first action is a Solidarity Concert to be held on March 22 in Lisbon. This initiative is only possible with the sponsorship of organizations that have joined the association's cause, in particular the sponsoring Banco Primus, Destak newspaper and Grupo Pinto & Cruz.

The effort to publicize the initiative is based on Médicos do Mundo's strategic partners, who are responsible for the Concert's Production (Bridge), Promotion and Communication (Say U Consulting) and Visual Identity (Ophelia). Lisbon City Council, CHM Acrílicos, Family First, fredbobone, Miss&Moustache, Movimento Pessoas@2020, QuickCom, SAPO, Sisley Paris, Teatro Tivoli BBVA, Ticketline and Topázio were also involved in the event.

For Fernando Vasco "A fundamental dimension of the work carried out by Médecins du Monde is the ability to give a voice to the voiceless, to make those who are most often forgotten and ignored visible and the target of attention and commitment. This mission naturally implies a factor of resource mobilization, which is essential if the planned actions are to actually take place and have an effective impact on the population we support".

The link established with these organizations is part of a strategy to mobilize partners and create a platform for communication, marketing and fundraising. Implemented since 2015, the "#PresentesMdM" campaign aimed to appeal to companies and specialists in these areas to take part in a voluntary scheme.
