Communication Design

Communication Design is a broad creative process that works to construct messages. Like many other arts, it doesn't have a set methodology. It operates in what started out as the field of study and work of commercial art and, responding to social and technological advances, encompasses various media.

Today it is a discipline strongly linked to video, music, graphic design, advertising, editorial, web design, copywriting and, unlike other creative processes, it often depends on statements. It is close to the competencies of marketingBut it doesn't choose 20th century corporatism as the focus of its development. Ideally, it focuses on the creative act to gather ideas that reframe and reformulate problems, and then move on to solving them.

O Communication Design is an activity that aims to visually communicate an image. It is edited through the articulation between a visual grammar and the content it is intended to convey, generating a context for understanding that is clear, expressive and symbolic, and can stimulate different interpretations of the same message. It contextualizes projects and develops ideas: it generates reactions and sensations, considering functional and production aspects; it generates a coherent visual culture between thought, feeling and action; it creates visual languages and codes based on cultural identity; it enriches and harmonizes the visual landscape.
